Around the lodge
Welcome to Macaye!
Macaye is a charming little village in the Basque Country, part of the province of Labourd, one of the seven territories of the Basque Country, near Cambo Les Bains. This village is famous for its cheese, its chestnut museum and the beautiful surrounding mountains. From Ursuya – just 5 minutes from the lodge – we can see the ocean, and from Baïgura we can take a paragliding trip to fly alongside griffon vultures.
Everything here is beautiful, tasty and green! The surrounding nature, typical Basque houses, organic jams right next door and ewe’s milk cheese just 5 minutes away are sure to delight our taste buds.
